The Brave Man
The man was silent in front of adversity,
calm in the face of trial,
cool in front of trouble,
Quiet while he died in pain.
He listened to all troubles,
gave a shoulder for free,
listened and when asked,
Gave advice for free.
He had troubles of his own,
had no one to listen,
no shoulder to lean on.
He had to rely on his Own.
He listened with complete attention
gave all had for free,
took it all, with calm assurance,
While his worries climbed to a peak.
His is worries overcame him at long last,
he took his life,
what a loss to the world,
What a grave injustice to himself.
travelled the upper road,
got to the gate,
and horror struck him,
He was turned away.
He trudged downward slowly,
fear and sorrow striking at his heart,
for he had been such,
A good sort.
He arrived at his is destination,
tears streaming down his face,
for he did not understand,
Why, he had been sent to this part.
He had been so good,
listening and hearing.
helping and peering,
In to the lives, of other mortals in distress.
He arrived at the gates,
hot, red and bloody,
the tears turned to steam,
As his heart was swallowed, by the red hot heat
He is lost, why God above, he tried,
to help,
to listen,
to give,
yet you turned him away.
His soul when resurrected,
will turn,
the next time,
to selfish sports and hobbies,
Then perhaps his turn for paradise will appear

Mis-Understandings
The speaker, speaks, with the knowledge of wisdom,
we all hear what he has to say,
what we hear and what we know,
Will never have a say.
We take it all in, we hear all the way through,
whilst thinking the opposite,
and agreeing. on the face of it,
So that we may never have to argue.
For fear of mis - understanding,
is fear of life,
fear to think for ourselves,
Fear of strife.
We try to claim total understanding,
and fear to speak up,
as others may ban understood,
That, that is a mystery to us.
We nod our heads in agreement,
agreeing with all that is said,
how often then can we truly understand,
The mis – understood..
The loss of understanding comes gradually,
with the passing at each day,
a little less is clear,
A little more farther away.
The liar tries to cover his fears,
the brave man his lies,
what then can be done,
For the one no one hears.

The Pain Of Failure
We strive to succeed,
against overwhelming odds,
again and again we try,
And fail as we strive to succeed.
We fight the good battle
And fail at the end,
What chance success,
As we already know we fail.
We strive to impress one and all,
We say what they may want to hear,
T’is nothing to be proud of,
As we do it we fail to communicate.
We thrive to communicate,
At work, at home and street,
We fail miserably,
As we fail to break the mask surrounding us,
We prove to ourselves and ones loved,
Our ability, great feats of strength and mental prowess
When the time comes to really show ourselves,
The pain of failure, makes sure we fail.
