Mr Micks' Garden

Once there was a little old man called Mr Micks. Now Mr Micks was a very small man. so small and little he lived in a house the size of a match box, he had all the things you and I have, including a garden with a very tiny greenhouse.

Now Mr Micks loved gardening, he grew vegetables and flowers, one day when he woke up, he had his breakfast, then went out into the garden and found that his vegetables and flowers had all disappeared.

"Where have all the flowers, also my vegetables gone,' said Mr Micks to himself.' I know they were there last night,' saying aloud to himself, he put on his boots and went to look for them. He looked all round the garden, then he went out of the gate and along the lane.

Know you now that Mr Micks was very small and little, so that when he walked along the lane he had to be careful not to be walked on by the big people. 'I wonder why my vegetables and flowers have gone.' He picked up a stick, beginning to look for them in the fields, but no vegetables, no flowers to be seen.

He had now walked a long way, so he decided to have a rest, he found a nice pebble, sat down and fell asleep. Mr Micks slept and slept and slept, then suddenly he woke up and wondered where he was. He found that he was back home in his easy chair. 'That's funny,' said Mr Micks, 'I am sure that I was out walking looking for my vegetables and flowers.' He got up and went to his window, he saw that his vegetables and flowers were back in the garden. All of a sudden a little fairy came and told Mr Micks he had been out looking for his vegetables and flowers, she and more fairies had found him, brought him home into his easy chair, then the fairies brought back his vegetables and flowers and replanted them. This made Mr Micks very happy, he thanked the fairies for their help.

Now if you remember my first story and how small Mr Micks is, and that he lived in a house as small as a matchbox' and that he had a tiny greenhouse and how he lost his vegetables and flowers.
