it Led to Love Tony, Molly, David, Jack, Willy and Denis were London back street children in the 50’s they were no better or worse than any other children.Of course being children in that era their families were hard up like every other family they knew, Tony was twelve the oldest of the little gang. His brother jack was six, Molly was nine and her brother David was six, Willy and Denis were both eight, all six children lived in the same street so they all knew one another practically since birth. Jack and David were the very best of friends, these six friends went everywhere together they went to school together, played together, grew up together. When they were just children, they weren’t all that good. They would go scrumping and they would go to the park and cheek the park keeper so he would chase them. Molly was the leader of this gang, and whatever she said they would do. Well eventually they grew up as children do. In there teens they were all still friends but David and Jack were still very close friends, the other four drifted apart. When Tony was nineteen he started to notice Molly and of course his feelings started to change towards her. One day he asked her for a date, although Molly wasn’t that keen she did agree to go out with him. But it didn’t work out so they drifted apart. As they all got to working age Jack and David got work in Swindon Wilts, Denis and Willy both moved away, Molly met and married her then boyfriend, and Tony met and married his girlfriend. 27 years later Molly decided to go to Swindon to see her brother (who was now married as well). As Molly knew Jack and the rest of David’s friends they decided to go to the pub that evening for a get together. They were all sitting there having a drink and a laugh over past experiences when in walked Tony, he took one look at Molly, walked over to her put his arms around her and kissed her. They have now been married over twenty years and are complete soul mates. So that twenty seven year gap got every thing out of both their systems. By Rita Joel
