Stockport PCT Poetry Competition
Submitted poems are based on the theme, ‘Then and Now – 60 years of the National Health Service’ All entries should be subject to the following conditions:- The length of the poem should be no more than 40 lines. The poem must be original work and should never have been published before. This includes publication on the internet. The closing date for submissions is 20th June 2008. Entries received after midnight on this date will be ineligible. Submissions must be made on plain, white A4 paper. A simple font should be used and no use made of pictures, photographs or any other visual material. Poems must be written in English, and there should be no identifying marks, e.g., name or address, on the submitted work. Entries will be accepted from any Stockport residents or anyone who works in the NHS in Stockport. Please provide your name, address and telephone number on your entry. Entries should be submitted by post using the address as given below in accordance with the instructions described in our entry details or should be sent online as described on the same page. Entries cannot be returned – please keep a copy of your work. The judge’s decision is final. The prize in the poetry competition is £25 book token to be presented Copyright for submitted stories remains with the author. Stockport PCT reserves the unrestricted right to publish winning poems on the websites mentioned. Entry to the competition is regarded as acceptance of all of the above rules.
