After you install it and run it, it should look something like this: only ignore user name for now



 So we've got it running. From here, you're going to want to click the button circled in red:



To create a new user on your computer. After you click that button, this window should come up:



Create a new user by clicking on "new" next to the box. Enter the name you'd like to use while on Ventrilo and hit OK. The phonetic is what the text to speech generator will call you when you are entering a channel or entering a server; you can leave this blank for now and come back and change it later if you feel the need to.

Now we're doing the important part, setting up what server we're going to connect to. Click this button after creating your user and selecting it in the drop down box on the main Ventrilo window:



And you should see this: note select - hostname and port will not be the same.



Same thing as before, hit new, write down any name you'd like to title your new connection, and enter the server info. The server and port info in the picture is our Ventrilo server  that is), so if you want that information, apply to:

Unless specified by the server admin, do not put anything in the other fields there, leave them blank and the checks default as displayed in the picture above.

Now it is time for you to connect! Click the button circled in the picture below...

You've successful connected to the Ventrilo! Now for configuring your microphone and speakers.

Now, this is where people have trouble. Click SETUP on the side buttons after connecting to the server. You should see this:

That's it and now it should be ready for use! on  your Computer Screen look for Ventrilo.
