Remembrance

The Poppies are out,

The Medals are too

World War One it has gone.

And we also remember War Two.

In the RAF I did go at eighteen, and I know

Lots of chaps they ne'er did come back,

Many I knew, I liked quite a few.

It is a great shame.

There's only a name families have to remember.

Each and all in November.

The Years pass so fast

One after the last.

Memories keep them alive

And so we must strive

To keep them with us

And try not to fuss

Too much about why

They all had to die.
