The rulers of darkness

There have been disputes about a cat's intellect,

All they think we do is sleep.

Well that be true by day,

But at night we are most definitely awake.

The sun set our call, The moonlight our candle. By the paw we grasp, The world's midnight spoils.

We are elusive hiding in your tree,

As we steal down your ally ways we are as quiet as death itself,

The shadows are our allies,

The darkness our friend.

Bound by sleep you too are motionless, Dreaming of tomorrow's sun. From fist light you rule the feline race, But at night we are the rulers of darkness.
