While we were out the other day we began to realize how beautiful it is in Leigh-On-Sea, Essex. We are five minutes from the sea; five minutes from the nearest town; five minutes from the country. We have all the wide open spaces of the fields; we have the wide open space of the sea; and a very busy town centre. We have little country houses and shops; modern houses and shops; antique houses and shops. We have boat yards; cockle sheds that sell every kind of sea food you can image; large restaurants, quant little restaurants, small cafés, big cafés, pie and mash shops, MacDonald’s, fried chicken shops, fish and chip shops, Burger Kings, Chinese food shops, spare ribs shops, and any other kind of shop you could think of. Of course we have every kind of church or place of worship anybody could want. We have lots of parks and allotments. Little streams you can walk by. Also wild foxes, wild rabbits, wild badgers, lots and lots of different wild birds and squirrels. So why would we want to live anywhere else when we have got everything we could want to see right here in our own county.
