                                                    Grandads Head,

Are you coming down to the beach grandad said,

As he rubbed sun oil on his bald head,

" Only for a short while said Sam",

Nana’s making our lunch, cheese, pickles and ham,

"Grandad, Thom said, you need to cover your head.

The sun has already made it pink and red".

" It’s o.k. said grandad, my skin is tough and old".

As he sat amongst the boulders painted pink and gold,

Grandad dozed off, dreaming of when he was at sea.

And a wee boy played on the boulders singing , one, two, three,

Later Thom said " come now it is time to go,"

As they approached grandad , Sam cried "oh no,"!

For on grandads head and for all to see,

Circled in chalk was a large number three.
