Colin Jellicoe
Colin Jellicoe, a Manchester born artist, has painted and exhibited at his own small gallery and elsewhere for over fifty years.
In 2010 held an anniversary exhibition to mark the 50 years since he stated as an artist. His first gallery was in Rushhome but in 1968, through local gallery owner Margot Ingam, he was introduced to Alan Behar and together they opened the gallery on the present site at Portland Street in the centre of Manchester. Where he has continued to serve the art loving public, not only of the North West of England but also further afield.
With a changing range of gallery artists numbering about 40 to 50, all styles of painting can be found. Colin, himself, concentrates on a series of figures in landscape which show his love of the local scene and his longing for the American West as depicted by Hollywood.
