Snowy the Hamster

One fine morning I woke up in a really good
mood. I jumped out of bed and got dressed, ran down stairs and went into
the kitchen. I was feeling hungry so I made some breakfast, toast and
jam.
After breakfast I put my coat on and went for the bus into town to look
in the shops. When I got off the bus it started to rain, so, I ran into
the nearest shop for shelter, which was the pet shop. When I got inside
I decided to look at all the pets for sale. As I looked into the cages I
saw a fluffy white ball. I looked a little closer and realised he was a
hamster, looking right at me. It was love at first sight and I wanted to
take him home.
I was so excited, I jumped up to get the shop assistant; the lady got
him out of the cage for me to take home and put him into a box. I chose
a cage for him to live in and bought some food for him and something for
his bed. I took him home on a bus and when I got home I put him into the
cage and give him something to eat. He looked very sleepy so I quickly
made his bed, then he went to sleep. I realised that he needed a name,
but what should I call him? I decided to call him Snowy because he was
white as snow.
