Poetic Snacks Part 2
Love of Life
Love is like a butterfly
With silken gossamer wings.
And the sight and sound of beauty
Of an angel when she sings.
The sweet warmth of the sunshine
That brightens up the skies.
With young folk looking lovingly
Into each others eyes.
Life is a great mystery
And can be full of love.
If you live a blameless life
And love our God above.
Your Children
You hold your babies in your arms
And wipe away their tears.
You keep them safe from morn ’til night
And sooth away their fears.
You take your children off to school
And watch them growing strong.
You love them and you teach them
To know the right from wrong.
They soon will be a young adult
And they’ll grow taller every day.
So show them the right road to take,
Then let them go their way.
My Sweet Jack
Oh Jack the Lad
You’re sometimes sad,
But mostly you’re my joy.
You’re sometimes bad
And sometimes mad,
And you’re my own sweet boy.
You wag your tail and jump about,
You never seem to rest.
You can be such a little pain
But to me you are the best.
Internet Fear
I’m working on my PC
And this is very rare.
Trying to work it
Gives me such a scare.
I am going to conquer this
And know I’ll have to be
Willing to try all of it.
Then I will be free.
I have a kind of phobia
Of what the internet will bring.
I feel it doesn’t like me,
But I’ll beat the silly thing.
