Nelferch Merchoed
Dear Reader
I’m Nelferch Merchcoed, ‘Daughter of the Forests’- as my surname would
translate - and indeed, I grew up close to nature, as I was brought up
in the countryside. Already in those early days my love for poetry, myth
and legend was wakened and became firmly rooted. Later I studied physics
and chemistry, became mother to wonderful daughters. In order to spend
more time with my daughters I changed from research into teaching
sciences. Finally took up studies of Welsh. At the same time I started
to present my poetry to the public. My main source of inspiration flows
from the old tales as well as from nature, but also everyday life. I
hope you will enjoy.
