Edgeley Library
Despite the bad weather, the book launch at Edgeley Library on Saturday,
14th November, for Irene Lee, went very well. I was delighted to meet
such a talented lady.
I have already read her book, ‘Three Sisters,’ and once I started
reading I couldn’t put it down. It made me laugh and cry; so beautifully
written. Irene, we await your next book.
The staff at Edgeley and Noreen Renshaw, Senior Librarian – Stock and
Reader Development, were most helpful; and plenty of coffee, tea and
biscuits, plus wine were there for everyone to share.
I also got to meet David Reid who used to be Stockport Heritage
Librarian but has since retired. He gave a small talk about Irene’s
book, which he had edited.
Our proof reader kindly presented me with a signed copy. What an end to
a perfect afternoon.
