A Tiny Little Body
A tiny little body
Cradled in my arms.
My little boy
I am so proud.
Big blue eyes
Look up at me.
Do you know more than I?
A gift from God you truly are.
Singing songs and playing cars,
Pushing swings,
Making castles in the sand.
Days of love and fun.
The day I left you
At the school
I thought my heart would break.
Walking home, without your little hand in mine.
Though you are bigger now,
Thirteen going on thirty.
You still know more than I do
And I couldn't be more proud.
The love you give,
The hugs you give
Bring sunshine everyday.
My beautiful, beautiful son.
