ANTHONY'S STORY
Anthony was born on October 14th 1960, to Warren and Joan Bardsley of
Woodley Stockport. Anthony had five sisters and two brothers. But sadly
his sister Florence died in 2002, aged 45.
Anthony's life has certainly not been easy, he suffered from severe
depression from 13yrs old, and he has
battled with it all his life, more recently being diagnosed with
Epilepsy. Despite his disabilities Anthony has, for years, produced a
rich vein of poetry, which we hope you will enjoy.
Anthony's great grandfather, who was known as ’Thade Gowran’ or Timothy
McGovern, was a writer of poems and ballads in his native Abbeyfeale,
County Limerick, Eire. It is felt that Anthony has inherited this great
gift.
Anthony has a great insight and a compassion for his fellow man. One of
Anthony's sayings is ‘Perfection is a weakness’.
We hope that you will enjoy Anthony's poems, and you will get a flavour
of his unique style.
