Anthony Warren Bardsley Poems
A WALK THROUGH STOCKPORT
I went for a walk down Stockport
I saw the Mersey Square,
And all the Pigeons there all about sung in the air.
I saw the river Mersey, and got back at the market store.
The town shopping centre, I like Stockport square.
The post office old house sounded a bell,
Sang aloud, I like the river Mersey
I like Daw Bank. I like the Underbank.
I like the shops
I saw a bus, it was going fast down Stockport square
The bingo theatre.
I caught a bus to Edgeley, the number eleven
I saw Edgeley at the County square,
They scored a goal.
The town Stockport is my favourite town.
